Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using TechMaster Sri Lanka's educational platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and our educational institution, governing your access to and use of our courses, materials, and services.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of our platform immediately. Your continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of these terms and any future modifications we may make to them in accordance with our update procedures.

Educational Services

Course Access

Upon enrollment in our web development courses, you gain access to educational materials, video lectures, interactive exercises, and assessment tools for the duration specified in your course agreement. Access is granted for personal educational use only and cannot be shared with others or used for commercial purposes without explicit permission.

Learning Requirements

Students are expected to actively participate in their chosen courses, complete assignments within specified timeframes, and maintain appropriate conduct in all interactions with instructors and fellow students. Failure to meet these requirements may result in suspension or termination of access to educational services.

Certification Standards

Certificates are awarded based on successful completion of course requirements, including assessments, projects, and participation criteria. All certifications issued by our platform reflect achievement of specific learning objectives and competency standards as defined in each course curriculum.

Technical Requirements

Access to our educational platform requires a stable internet connection, compatible web browser, and appropriate hardware specifications. Students are responsible for ensuring their technical setup meets minimum requirements for optimal learning experience and course participation.

User Responsibilities

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. We cannot be held liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account access due to your failure to maintain proper security.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our platform in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. Prohibited activities include sharing copyrighted materials without permission, engaging in harassment or discriminatory behavior, disrupting the learning environment, or attempting to compromise platform security or functionality.

Academic Integrity

Students must maintain high standards of academic integrity, including original work submission, proper attribution of sources, and honest participation in assessments. Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty may result in course failure and account termination.

Community Guidelines

Our platform fosters a respectful learning community where all participants can engage constructively. Users must treat instructors and fellow students with respect, provide constructive feedback, and contribute positively to discussions and collaborative activities.

Intellectual Property Rights

Course Content Ownership

All course materials, including but not limited to video lectures, written content, code examples, assignments, and assessments, are the intellectual property of TechMaster Sri Lanka or our licensed content providers. These materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Usage Restrictions

Students are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to access and use course materials solely for personal educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission. Commercial use of our materials is strictly prohibited.

Student Work Rights

You retain ownership of original work you create as part of course assignments and projects. However, by submitting work through our platform, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use your work for educational purposes, including showcasing exemplary student projects and improving course content.

Third-Party Content

Our courses may include third-party content used under appropriate licenses. Students must respect the intellectual property rights of third-party content creators and use such materials only as permitted within the educational context of our courses.

Payment and Refund Policy

Course Fees

Course fees are clearly stated during the enrollment process and must be paid in full before accessing course materials. All prices are listed in Sri Lankan Rupees and include applicable taxes unless otherwise specified. Payment plans may be available for certain courses as indicated during enrollment.

Refund Conditions

Refunds may be available within specified timeframes and under certain conditions as outlined in each course's enrollment terms. Generally, refunds are considered for technical issues preventing course access, material changes to course content, or other exceptional circumstances evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Payment Processing

We use secure, third-party payment processors to handle financial transactions. By making payments through our platform, you agree to the terms and conditions of our payment partners. We do not store credit card information on our servers and rely on industry-standard security measures.

Late Payments

For courses with payment plans, late payments may result in suspension of access to course materials until accounts are brought current. Continued non-payment may result in account termination and forfeiture of course progress and certifications.

Service Availability

Platform Uptime

We strive to maintain high platform availability and minimize service disruptions. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access due to factors including scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance whenever possible.

Technical Support

Our technical support team is available to assist with platform-related issues during specified business hours. Support response times may vary based on the complexity of issues and current support volume. We prioritize issues that prevent access to paid educational content.

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services with appropriate notice to users. Significant changes that affect course access or content will be communicated in advance, and alternative arrangements will be made for affected students.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, network failures, or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will work to restore services as quickly as possible and communicate status updates to affected users.

Limitation of Liability

Educational Outcomes

While we provide high-quality educational content and support, we cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes, job placement, or career advancement results. Individual success depends on various factors including effort, prior experience, market conditions, and personal circumstances beyond our control.

Consequential Damages

Our liability for any damages arising from use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or opportunities.

Third-Party Services

Our platform may integrate with third-party services or contain links to external resources. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or privacy practices of third-party services. Your use of such services is subject to their own terms and conditions.

Data Loss

While we implement appropriate backup and security measures, we recommend that students maintain their own copies of important work and materials. We are not liable for data loss due to technical failures, security incidents, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Termination of Services

Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate user accounts for violations of these terms, non-payment of fees, or other conduct that negatively impacts our educational community. Account termination may result in immediate loss of access to course materials and learning progress.

Student-Initiated Termination

Students may terminate their accounts at any time through their account settings or by contacting our support team. Upon termination, access to course materials will be revoked, though completed certifications will remain valid. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to our refund policy.

Data Retention

Following account termination, we may retain certain information for legitimate business purposes, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Students may request deletion of personal data subject to our data retention policies and legal obligations.

Service Discontinuation

In the event we discontinue services entirely, we will provide reasonable advance notice and assist students in retrieving their certificates and learning records. Alternative arrangements may be made for students to complete ongoing courses through partner institutions.

Dispute Resolution

Internal Resolution

We encourage students to contact our support team first to resolve any disputes or concerns informally. Our team is trained to address various issues and will work diligently to find mutually satisfactory solutions. Most disputes can be resolved through direct communication and good faith efforts.

Formal Complaints

For disputes that cannot be resolved through normal support channels, we have established a formal complaint process. Written complaints will be reviewed by senior management and addressed according to established procedures designed to ensure fair and timely resolution.

Legal Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any legal disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts. Both parties agree to first attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

Limitation Period

Any claims arising from use of our services must be brought within one year of the date the claim arose. This limitation period applies to all types of claims, whether based in contract, tort, or other legal theories.

Terms Modification

Update Process

We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Significant changes will be communicated through prominent notices on our platform, direct communications to users, or other appropriate channels.

Notification Requirements

Acceptance of Changes

Continued use of our services after the effective date of term modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with changes, you must discontinue use of our services and may request account termination.
